Recording a live set via MIDI

Hi,
I want to record a Live set with Logic hence I can replay with the Live Set Sound.
But I get always Data on midi channel 1 no matter which Layer I play and so everthing I get on replay is the grand piano sound of the XG-Sounds not the Live Set.
Is there a way to do that?
