Cleaning keys - 700GX

Post by Jon_w »

Hi All,

I have had my 700GX for a few years now, I bought it when it was released so it has to be 3 or 4 years old now surely?

Anyway, I have noticed some of the keys are becoming sticky to touch which causes problems when playing quick jazz solos as my fingers drag rather than slide ;) I think this is a result of doing a workshop and allowing others to play my keyboard who obviously have different sweat etc.

How can I clean the keys to get them back to how they were 4 years ago? Or failing that, just not sticky? ;)

The book says only to use a damp cloth but this does not touch it.

Thanks for your help, I tried posting this on the Roland Forums and no one has replied!

I've had similar problems. Mild dish soap and just a damp cloth works okay but my solution is baby powder on my hands.
