RD700nx user : try this file please
Hi!
Could anybody please try this midi file on a RD700 nx after just turn on the keyboard please? The drum doesn't work for me (it plays it as piano) even if Synthesia, Sibelius ans Windows media reconize the drum channel.
I am asking you to try it after just turn on your keyboard because on mine, after it played another MIDI file corectly, this one works fine.
I had factory reset my keyboard and it still does the issue.
Thank you in advance!

It worked fine on my RD700nx.
Re: RD700nx user : try this file please
Thanks! Do you have any idea why this not work on mine?

Hmmm....did you perform a "Factory Reset Current" or "Factory Reset All"?
Also, I see in the troubleshooting guide that there is a little help on dealing with song files not playing properly. This is just a guess but I wonder if the reference to the items on p70 of the manual are relevant. It deals with General MIDI System On, General MIDI 2 System On and GS Reset messages from external MIDI devices will be received (ON) or not (OFF).

Part mode : 16PART (instead of 16PART+PERF)
P.69 on manual.
Thanks to you! :)

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my Roland RD700nx which I have just bought last April 28, 2013. When I turn on the power switch, what would appear in the display is only the "ROLAND" and nothing else. It happened many times but when I turn off the switch and turn it on again, it turns on normally. I have experienced this several times and I thought it was just a power problem from our electrical source since the Keyboard requires 230Volts and our line provides only 220Volts. But for almost a month, this keyboard of mine doesn't turn on completely and just displays the "ROLAND' when I turn it on. I am still having this keyboard checked with the supplier. What could be the cause of this problem? Thank you very much for giving me some help regarding my concern.

Hi jmvmflywheel7. I was going to suggest you check with your dealer but it sounds like you are doing that. I would always suggest trying a factory reset and make sure you have the latest firmware loaded whenever something glitchy like that is experienced on a keyboard.
Also, you may want to start a new thread on this topic as it really doesn't have anything to do with this thread. You may get a better response that way. Good luck with it.
