ipad as UI
ipad as UI
I'm tired of relying on the small screen and +/- keys on my RD-700 to access specific sounds. Is there a way to use an ipad to emulate the UI of the RD-700 so i can just touch my ipad to access my sounds. I would also like to be able to save preset sounds and easily access them on the ipad. I'm not interested in using the RD-700 as a master controller or in using garage band etc. to record songs, I just want a better way to take advantage of all the great keyboard and great sounds that are already inside my RD-700.
Re: ipad as UI
I know there are setlist apps, but that's probably not what you want. To get what you want you would probably have to do a lot configuration work, so it might not be worth it. I don't have an iPad, so I haven't really tried to find out what apps are available, though. I'm sure someone else knows.
Anyway, a year or two ago, Roland themselves started making iPad apps for their boards, so you if you buy a used NX, you will get that feature ;)
