I have tried 3 different usb drives now, 2 PNY Turbo 32 GB USB 3.0 drives and one Kingston DataTraveler 32GB USB 3.0. There are no issues while recording audio, but when I take the USB drive to a computer (any computer) an play the wav files, sometimes the audio will have what sounds like "skips" in the middle of the song. This happens maybe 40% of the time.
I have formatted each drive in the RD 800 and not stored any other files on them.
Any ideas what could be happening? It is very annoying to finally play a song right (I'm just learning) and then for the recording to be dorked up.
Thanks for any tips.
RD 800 audio recording issues -- to USB
Re: RD 800 audio recording issues -- to USB
I can use Kingston DT 8GB USB 2.0 without any problem.
But my recording so far is quite short, only 2-3 minutes.
Do you use it for long recording?
Does it skip if you play it back on piano itself?
Anyway, you should check with Roland on this. This is not normal.
