RD 800 Build Quality questionable?

Hi guys,

I have a question to my fellow RD 800 users out there. I just got an RD800 and noticed that the build quality isn't quite that of the RD700 sx I used to own.

The top plastic panel which covers the screen seems to be riddled with faults. When I press the transpose button or the exit/shift buttons which surround the bottom left and right of the lcd screen, it seems to press the screen in with it at the bottom and applies quite an amount of pressure on the colour lcd display. This creates a sort of bubble/pressure effect on the screen.

Is this normal and do other RD 800 users have the same issue or is it just mine that is doing this?

I'm also noticing some grainy effect on the screen. Am I just being picky or is this a characteristic of this screen?

Thanks so much for your help

Robert

Hi robert.
More than 1 year and a half to gig with my rd800 and nothing bad for me.
All is ok and it seems reliable, works perfectly.
I don't have the problem you notice.
