Yup, most of these sounds can be programmed quite easily on the G, basically saw or supersaw waves with low pass filter movement. If you want to learn how to create your own patches you should download Artemiy's tweakbook.

Thanks Gil Can you download this tweakbook for free?
Re: Can i Make the fantom G sound like a JP8000?
Does the G have a sample of the JP's supersaw osc in it's waveform ROM? That's the JP's defining feature.
Re: Can i Make the fantom G sound like a JP8000?
I have both the Fantom G and a JP-8000 and the answer is that the Fantom G can not fully mimic what is happening in the JP-8000, but there are very nice trance patches for the Fantom G in the Sinevibes packs (made by Artemiy). I'm sure they will satisfy your needs until you can save up and buy a real JP-8000 or JP-8080.

Thanks for your recommendations, Gil and Jesse
You can read more about the Tweakbook and expansions for the Fantom-G over here:

If you're into synth sounds typical to JP-8000 patches, have a look at Synth, Bass and Atmospheres expansions.

Another possible alternative (provided you don't have the JP8000 yet), is the GAIA SH-01, which is capable ofd producing very similar sounds, and in some cases even richer, due to its 3rd Oscillator and extended COSM effect capabilities...

sorry...double post
Re: Can i Make the fantom G sound like a JP8000?
Thanks for the tips and advice everyone

To be noted thou is that the GAIA has no X-Mod like the JP-8000. GAIA is an nice synth thou!

+1 for thee and thy post, as well!
Re: Can i Make the fantom G sound like a JP8000?
The real question is;
Can I make my JP8000 sound like my FG?
I think not!

Re: Can i Make the fantom G sound like a JP8000?
i've been looking everywhere around the net about this possibility...read every inch of them.
So i listened to the Art's tweakbook demo & indeed there's some sounds in the the demo resembles very much like JP8000! my confidence level is greatly raised just from the demo alone, gotta have that tweakbook & give it a nice hard read :D
this tweakbook along with Vengeance samples & packs will keep me busy for a while until i managed to source for a real JP8000

It's possible to get JP-8000ish sounds out if the Fantom G. I own both and have recreated some of my JP patches on the G. The synthesis system is different but you can get similar sounds. The JP is probably warmer IMO, but the G has enough of the right waveforms, some of the supersaw ones to get JP ish sounds. I may even sample in my JPs oscillators at some point, planning to that with my Juno-106 too. I also use the the FX to help. PFX as EQ and Chorus as delay may help, or even the PFX chorus>delay or Modulation delay FX. The EQ can warm up the mid range a bit. I can also be useful to use the sliders like you would on the JP to get realtime changes in the sound.
