Setting default patch in SINGLE mode

Whenever I select or re-select SINGLE mode, it always defaults to “0399-Pre Mass Hum.” Even if I select a different patch, if I select LIVE or STUDIO and come back to SINGLE mode, it always goes back to “Pre Mass Hum.” LIVE mode seems to retain whatever Live Set I select, but SINGLE does not.

How do I change the default patch in SINGLE mode and is there a way to retain whatever is selected, even if leaving SINGLE mode?

Perform a System Write:

Press MENU --> F2) System --> F7) Sys Write

1) Are you saying in SINGLE mode, select any desired patch, then do a sys write? Now that’s the new default patch?

2) Is there a way to have SINGLE mode retain the whatever the last patch selected during performance, even if selecting different patches? (Similar to the way LIVE mode always goes back to the last selected LIVE set, regardless, and no need to sys write.

1) Yes.

2) Unfortunately, this is not possible.

You might find the FAVORITE or USER GROUP functions to be useful for quick access to specific Patches.
