Hello!
I am using an aging G6 to ride my complete setup. As I am going to be the lead vocal, I'd prefer to have my lyrics displayed on one of those iPad or Android apps. My only desire would be to match lyrics with songs from patch select on a dedicated MIDI channel. I know I can do that by using standard DIN plugs but I'd like to use the G6's USB out to perform this task. I would be surprised that no one has ever tried this with OnSong or SetListMaker apps.
Any experiences or tips to share?
Can a Fantom G send MIDI messages to OnSong from USB?

USB won't work.
The Fantom-G is not USB class compliant. Its USB connection requires a Mac or PC with the appropriate Roland drivers installed.

So, my best bet would be to use a Bluetooth MIDI gadget, i suppose... Thanks for the clarification. I knew that Class Compliant USB devices were exempt of drivers, but for a simple task like a program change, I thought there were maybe some possibilities...JunoJohn wrote:USB won't work.
