Screen Display

My screen today just went blank (black). The keyboard still works, but not the screen. Has anyone ever had this happen before? No cables inside were loose. Is this a screen issue or a motherboard issue? Thanks

Most likely power regulator failure or some caps are too old and gave up. Hardware from 2000..2015 has very often problems with cheap capacitors (caps). Did you solve the problem?
