Hi. Got a G7 with a not functioning SDRAM slot (137pin).
Can I replace the G7 MB with a G6 MB?
Will it recognize the longer keybed and show G7 in the systems menu?

Change model type, AFAIK, there is a "service" mode menu used by tech support staff. In this forum, I saw a post with a something close to this need.

I was unsure to try, because it's a pain to disassemble a G6 and G7 to switch boards and then recognize it dosen't work.
Now I will just switch the boards and use the G6 with the ARX-01 drums card and no extra SDRAM.
Maybe I can even remove the SDRAM slot and install a replacement one from an old PC motherboard.
