How to transfer SVQ sequence to MIDI?

Does anybody know how to transfer an SVQ file to a mid file? I only need the MIDI data and not the perfromance setup.
I have a Fantom XR 2.02 and I tried to playback the song and record each MIDI channel into Sonar but I wasn't getting any data out the USB of the Fantom.
Can anyone help?

My first thought was:-

Have you tried saving the song as a midi file then transferring it to the PC to open it in Sonar?

But now I'm confused. The XR has no sequencer and the manual I just downloaded sez you can only play SMF files on it. Can you explain what are you trying to do again?

I was given SVQ files made in a Fantom X6. I want to transfer the MIDI data so that I can work with it in Sonar. Apparently, when the XR plays songs it does not send MIDI through the MIDI OUT or USB so I couldn't transfer the MIDI data in real time to Sonar.
I can load the SVQ files into my XR and it plays back fine.
Can the Fantom keyboard versions save SVQ files to MIDI?

Yes, the Fantom X keyboards can save SVQ as type 0 or type 1 midi files. You would be able to open them straight into Sonar if you got them resaved as SMF.

I am having same problem transferring .svq into some kind of midi editable format, would someone be able to transfer one for me into something I can edit in editing, kind of emergency is hard to find out...

This is the main thing I'm looking for before I purchase a Fantom XR to replace my Fantom X7.

Does mean that I can simply backup my sequences, load them on the Fantom XR, and playback with no issues?
Is it possible to do any manipulation of the sequences (e.g., transpose individual parts during playback?).

My guess is that as long as the song loads, adjusting the coarse tuning is part of modifying the performance.

Any other tips when moving from Fantom X# --> XR?
