Played a V-Synth today...

Oh, yes. FOR REAL. I was at Music Mall, and for all of you Fantom-S nuts out there, the time is nigh and the tide is high...

And the V-Synth was in the house today.



Seriously -- it is a pretty bad-assed synth. For my needs I'm using the MOSS board in the Triton, but I'll say this much -- I've never in my life heard as cool a rendition of an Indian-Arabic female vocal as I did today in that V-Synth.

Unreal...the first demo song (forget the name, but it's the very first one in Demo Play mode) showcases the real power of this thing to take a sample and literally blow it apart.

Anyone else try this thing out yet? If so, what'd you think?

SammyJames, I liked that asian vocal sound too - really expressive.

V-synth rocks, no doubt. That VariPhrase and COSM stuff in synthesis is killer, as well as the TimeTrip Pad...

fantom-s or v-synth? thats where i am now...I would like a board that does drum grooves and motion-synth textures and pads and ambient pop sounds..i dont really need electric pianos and clavinets and harsichords as i am no piano player....but i do have a supernova2 keyboard now for va stuff and should i get the v-synth or the fantom-s?

Based on your other post it sounds like V synth might be a very good choice for you. Awesome motion sounds with outstanding performance capability. You can't get bored with this synth.

V-synth is much more advanced in synthesis and sampling. VariPhrase and COSM effects in synthesis, plus FM and OSC sync - you can't beat this.
