Hey Tony,

I watched your YouTube video of "Valkyrie Rising". Have you got the SRX-06 (Orchestra)? Just wondering where those choir sounds come from?

Good stuff, though.

Cheers

Yep, you caught me lol!!! I have the srx 06 and that is where that choir came from. Its patch # 386 Choir /mod layered with pipe organ, strings and HPF slicer. Makes a huge sound!!!!

Does any of these videos go thru the steps of putting a song into song mode...(intro, verse 1, verse 2 etc.)

Man I did not know you was part of the forums and just wrote you on UTube. I need help with that wicked guitar sound you did on Galaxy Far Away. Just check your UTube for a message as I need that sound and how you got it to sequence with all the effects. You rock, thanks!

@Buminbeer2

Hey, thanks man!

I'm alittle short on time this evening but I'll try to get back to you in the next day or two, if that is alright. You can email me at piaknow@shaw.ca if you wish. That way I can reply with any info you may need.

Have a good 1!

Peter,

I've just listened to your tunes and there is some really nice stuff there. Very well done!

Have you got any SRX cards in your XR, or is it just stock patches and your own tweaks?

Regards

Hi, thanks for your comment.

I haven't any SRX card, bt in the future I think I am going to buy the SRX-06 Complete Orchestra.

In fact, for these recordings I didn't even use all of the 1200+ sounds that the Fantom XR has, I used the GM2 set only, 256 sounds.
Didn't tweak much either. just some reverb etc.
Thats mainly becouse i use ancient software, Midisoft Studio4 (1995).
and that 'studio4' can only handle GM and GM2...
but I am going to buy Cubase soon....

And 'Winter' was recorded using the Edirol SD-90...

thanks,

Peter

Thanks Peter,

You know, I've always avoided the GM banks because the patches aren't editable, but I guess they are a bit, when used in a Performance. I'll have to have another look through them :o)

I spotted that one track was not Fantom XR, yeah. Still good stuff, though.

Cheers

Fantom being played with an original Roland keytar.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RXow4HzhaU

This video features the fantom's PRST:06 Burning Lead, played in with a keytar, as well as some simultaneous guitar playing - in harmony.

I guess this is what happens when you have too much spare time on your hands and no-one to harmonize with :D

Its an original, and the chords are displayed on the screen too.
