MK, what does this "Sample Default Load" do?
Does it load all the samples that I had in memory before switching off?

From the manual:
"Specifies whether the samples of the user area and memory card will be loaded into memory at power-on (ON) or not (OFF)."
The memory allocation difference can be observed when viewing the System Info/Memory Info after you toggle the setting to ON/OFF. Sample Memory changes to 100% free, for example.
I have not experimented with this setting extensively because I don't want to keep power cycling my S88. It was just yesterday that I changed the setting to OFF and wrote it to memory. This morning I changed it back to ON. I have not powered off the S88 yet today.
