Cannot get rid of percussion!

Post by alower »

Hello there,

I cannot play my Fantom X7 anymore. No matter what I do, every key plays percussion sounds!

In Patch mode, I can select patches (an organ, strings, etc.) but any key I play sounds the patch along with a percussion sound...

That also happens in all of my precious performances - I have percussion sounds mixed in with every key on the keybed.

Can anyone help?

I am sure you have done this already, but just to make sure disconnect all Midi and USB cables.

No MIDI or USB Cables were connected. And I already switched the Fantom On and Off. Same result - the percussion sounds still play along with each of the keys in the keybed.

Maybe there is some issue with my system configuration? Any suggestion will be much appreciated, as I am at a loss right now. Thanks.

Well, no one answered so far - and I am still stuck with the same problem... perhaps I am not using the correct names to describe my problem? If that is the case and someone knows alternative terms under which I could try to search for an older answer in this forum, please advise.

Can anyone out there contribute further info to this post? It's been now almost a year and I never solved the issue... Read the manual several times, but to no avail.

Are you in Performance mode with the MIDI out channel set to 10?

Are you in Performance mode and KBD is ticked?

Have you tried a complete factory reset?

Could a percussion set have somehow crept into your patches following a failed save?

Could you patch file be corrupted?
