Just Tried it with W11, but failed. Now I'm installing W10 again. Maybe someone could explain how to install the driver on W11?

Hello Renementen:

I unfortunately, do not have Windows 11, and will not be getting it. Insert Linux user hype here, LOL.

If anyone here can chime in on their experience with the new Win 11 and how it works with the old-school Fantom-X USB drivers, it would be appreciated.

While this is not helpful at all in this case, I created an Oracle Virtualbox to use Windows 7 Pro for just the Fantom-X librarian, and once configured, it has worked flawlessly.

Best,
BC

It worked already, I probably did something wrong with the unsigned drivers.
It works just like under W10.

Fantastic to hear that! Also, thank you for reporting back in. So Win 11 is a go with the unsigned driver instructions.

Hi,
I have the Roland Fantom XR controlled via Roland Fantom X Editor on win 10 and win 11.
Incase this might help someone....
Thanks to CREDOS to get me on the right track, I than made another change and I have been running this inf file on multiple different
computers over the last few years. Even a mac mini running windows 10. I made the inf change(s) years ago so I can't remember what I did.
I have uploaded the inf file.

Instructions:
IF Win 11
- First disable core isolation in windows: security/Device security/Core isolation

win 10 or win 11
1 Reboot into “install unsigned drivers”
Command R shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00

2 Run the driver setup file.

3 When the program install asks you to plug in and turn on the rack, after you have plugged in and turned on, the installer won’t seem to do anything
4. Go to device manager and update driver and manually point to the RDIF1045 file
It should complete the installation and all done.
5. Install the editor Program, 32 bit win10 use the XP version
