fantom x vs fa... help to choose which one.
I have a chance to get a used but mint condition fantom x8 for 1,300 or new fa6 for 1,100. Does the fa contain all the sounds the fantom has? lll be using it for hip hop production. I dislike vsts and software so a workstation is what I wanna get. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Personally, I'd ask to demo the two boards at some length and see which one feels more like 'my fit'. Run it through all the usual tests (check every key with a MIDI monitor to make sure it's all working, and that velocity curves are calibrated and such).
It's not just the features that matter in a workstation. It's all how good or bad the thing feels under your fingers. Go for the one that's the most logical to you, that feels the best, and that you enjoy using the most. If it's a tie on the feel, use, and workflow of the thing...then make your checklist on the feature differences vs price difference.
