Hi everyone - i already own a Fantom X8 Keyboard
I have lots of my own patches stored on the CF card, of which are made up using certain sounds from SRX boards and internal patches, i do a lot of touring with my band in other countries, so thinking of getting a Fantom XR to take with me, if I put the CF card in the XR, will it basically be a complete copy of my X8? will it work in the same way?
Would be great if it did because i never know what 88 note keyboard I'm going to get when travelling and want to use MY sounds

Hi Waynester, I've considered an XR, too, to save me carting my X7 around.
The patches will work fine, as should the Performances.
It doesn't matter what slots the SRX cards are in, as they have their own unique Bank and PC addresses for their patches.
You'll lose the RPS functionality, though, which was a deal breaker for me, as I use that for seamless sound switching, amongst other things.
