Roland fantom button/screen delay. Can anyone help?

When I get into recording a tracks, I switch screens and there is a delay as well when I press rehearsal button or the record button or the beginning button. But it doesnt really delay when the beat isnt playing. Is this normal? Meaning just to much going on while the tracks are playing as Im pressing different buttons? Also Ive notice the screen where it reads bar 1 2 3 4 it never is on synch with the metronome click. Does anyone have this problem or is it just normal and technically not a problem? Thank you. Any feedback would be great.
