can a 8GB flash card be use for fantom x7?

just bought my x7 and i ordered a compact flash card 8GB and is giving me error msg.
can i use that much or does it have to be less GB, or whats the limit?

Hi,

The manual says:
Number of pins: 168-pin
Speed: 100 MHz (PC100 CL=2)
133 MHz (PC133 CL=3)
Voltage: 3.3 V
Capacity: 64/128/256/512 MB
Board height: 38 mm or less.

However, people here have reported no issues with 1GB (and I believe 2GB as well, but don't quote me on that).

It seemed to me, dominicanpiano asked about CF card. I use on my X7 2 GB and all O.K. More capacity I didnot try.

I use a 4Gb CF without any probs. Never tried more than that though.

I use a Sandisk Ultra II, 2.0GB and never had an issue and use several of these. I have heard above that, it gets harder.
