Hi guys! I've got my hands on a perfect and shiny Fantom X8... BUT.. it has a problem, after you turn the device, it loads up, loads the first preset and then freezes, i mean. no sound, the button's leds are on but they wont recognize anything, i cant change the menu, i cant navigate (so i cant factory reset the thing), i cant play...
Is there a way to reset it without using the menu? Maybe via midi? Pressing some buttons on load up?

The service manual shows that you need to be able to use the Menu button to get into the test area.
You might like to open up the cover on the top left and see if there is extra RAM and/or SRX cards.
With the FanX unplugged, or at least the power off, I would remove all of these cards and memory as well as all cables and power it up again.
Mine started freezing not long after I had bought it and it turned out I had a loop from Midi out back into Midi in due to a misconfigured Midi router.
