Fantom X6

Post by Blueswaite »

Had problems with one I got few weeks ago fortunately they got another one in in excellent condition.
Had the memory installed and platinum tracks expansion board. Very happy with it. The first one was in ok condition. Had Pro Coverage case something went wrong. And $14 less for the second one.
Thanks

They are fantastic keyboards. I have an X7 with max sample RAM and an X8 with maxxed out RAM and three SRX cards (Dynamic Drum kits, Ultimate Keys and Complete Orchestra). I love my set up.

Years ago I used a XP 60 and a Mofat Turbo and an ASR 10 .

I was able to do a lot with the Sequencer
on the XP 60.

I have another serious project and will use the Fantom X6 ( replacing XP 60 and ASR10 with one piece ).

So looking for a Fantom X with that great
Sequencer...with even higher resolution sequencer ..should be great to work on.

Is sampling as clean as ASR10 ?

I am not familiar with the Ensoniq but sampling is very clean.
Unfortunately, you can't crossfade samples (for smoother looping) and you can't play samples backwards and forwards (not a big problem) but it's a great sampler.
