How to place a sample on one key and not the whole keyboard

Post by BassBob »

Hi, I want my sample to play on only one key and not be stretched across the keyboard. How
do you do that?
You sample something, place at C5, save it. It plays properly at C5, but there are other
versions of the sample to the left and right of C5. How do you get rid them and keep only
the C5 version? Thanks

If you are setting up a normal patch, follow the standard procedure (with the sample across the whole keyboard). In Patch Edit mode, go to the TMT page and set the key range (bottom and top) to the note you want to assign the sample to. For the sample to play at the right pitch, you can set the sample's note in Sample Edit mode or you can change the pitch in Patch Edit, on the Pitch page.

Alternatively, you could assign the sample to a single note in a Rhythm patch. In Edit mode, play the key to select the note you want and assign the sample on the Wave page.
