Fantom XR
Fantom XR
I have a fantom XR. I have not used it in some time, about 7 years to be exact . I just plugged it back up yesterday and left all my connections and power on overnight. Well, when I came back to the XR today to initialize a performance to start creating it was frozen. I unplugged the midi cord going to my mio-10 interface. I saw an error message on the XR stating midi buffer full, press exit. Once I pressed exit, the XR started working again. I switched midi cords and plugged it back in. Frozen again with error message. Unplugged and Everything works fine. Does anyone have a clue as to how to fix this?

Re: Fantom XR
Works OK without the interface connected...
Sounds like your Midi interface is outputting Midi data.
If you have a PC, connect both the In and the Out on the Midi interface and look in MidiOx (use the View / Port Status to see if there are any lights on or flashing)
All the best

And what do I do if they are on and flashing?
Re: Fantom XR
And also, what you described trying isn’t very clear to me. Can you break it down in simpler terms with more specific step by step instructions.
Re: Fantom XR
You know. I think the problem MAY be that my midi keyboard was going into the midi interface with a midi cord AND USB midi.... Could that be what was fouling things up? My set up appears to working fine.... So far. 🤞🏾
Re: Fantom XR
If they are on and flashing then there is likely unexpected Midi data going to your Fan.
I would look for a loop and it looks like you have found it .
Great, all sorted
