Fantom-XR Glitch Free Samples

One annoying thing about the Fantom XR is that when Audio Files are imported into memory the original sample loop point is ignored. We can set the loop manually but it can be quite time consuming to get a glitch free sample. However by using a program named Polyphone we can obtain the parameters of a glitch free looped wav sample which can then be recreated using the Fantom-XR editor v2.10.

Install Polyphone then open the program. In the home window press the "New soundfont" button. Press the "wave" symbol just below the "home" icon and select a "wav" file. Underneath the displayed wave file there is an information box which contains the loop parameters. Note these down for each sample you want to loop. Then open the Fantom-XR editor and press the "Sample" button and enter the parameters noted above for each sample. Then save the samples.
