Juno-Stage - Sustain Pedal question

Post by SonnyDaye »

Hi!
Wondering if the sustain pedal acts like a lot of other boards (I know Kurzweil does) and will work with ANY brand pedal. They sense the polarity of the pedal upon powering up. Or, do you HAVE to use a Roland pedal or else the pedal works backwards with some other pedals?
Thanks for any info!

Got my Juno-Stage now. After reading deeper into the manual I found that there is a parameter in the menu to CHANGE the polarity so ANY pedal can be set to work. I don't think using a wrong polarity SUSTAIN pedal would destroy your keyboard - all that should happen is the pedal would sustain when NOT pressed (i.e. work BACKWARDS). OTHER types of (CONTROL) pedals....maybe could harm the board if the wrong polarity - I don't know.
