Sorry to start a new thread, but it seems like there are many people who want to know exactly which sound engine the Juno Stage uses. It also appears that there have been a few hints, and thus more than a few educated guesses. Maybe we can focus all that discussion in this thread.
Watching the Roland guy on the Sonic State/Music Player videos, he alludes to the Fantom-X engine. But on the Roland US video, they mention "latest sound generating technology" or something similar. That would possibly indicate Fantom-G or Sonic Cell.
Whatever the outcome, so far from listening to the videos with good headphones, the sound of the Juno Stage is excellent. Seems to have more punch and clarity than the Fantom-X series, indicating an evolved sound engine.
