shutting rotating speaker effect off on the fly

Post by LeeRoi »

I still often feel like a newbie with the Stage, despite having had it for a
year, so this question may have an obvious answer.

If I set my MFX for 21 (rotating speaker) and set S1 as the control, then
pressing S1 alternates the speed of the rotating effect. Is there a way to
quickly switch the effect completely off during the middle of a song, say, with
the S2 switch?

Hello,

You could assign S2 to turn on/off the MFX processor, or if you use vkRotary effect you can assign S2 to the brake of the rotary. The last one is my preference because the orginal sound stays the samen, if you turn off the MFX the remaining sound will probaply also change.

I also use the vkRotary effect, and use S2 to switch between slow and fast. You can set how fast the brake stops the rotor. It's a lot of tweaking, and I only have one main organ that I use because it took so long to get mine where it is.
Alternately you could set up two patches next to each other, one with rotary, and one without. The downside to this is that it cuts out for a second while you switch patches.
