Anybody solved the time delay between patch switches?

We have just bought the JS and to say we are disappointed is an understatement.

This is supposed to be a STAGE piano and if you cannot, say bring strings or brass or change patch is a gross mishap on the part of Roland. I have changed the patch remain to ON in the system settings, but there is a still a delay.

Has anyone been able to sort this out or found a way around it

Thanks in advance

The JS is NOT a stage piano. Anyway I don't understand what you mean by a delay. Change patch before you play a note.

I think you should experiment with Performance mode, rather than play in Patch mode. You may setup a performance with all patches you need assigned to the different parts. Make sure you set the FX right for each part. Assign the keyboard to the part with the patch you want to play and switching between them will no longer cause a delay or silence.

how do you do the actual switch? is it with increase +1 with button/with pedal? is there an option to jump from part 1 to part 8?

Hi person with strange name,

At the moment my Juno Stage is not connected. I will try and set it up soon and I will try to make a manual or maybe a video to show you how I use this.

Greetings, Martijn

Hi everyone,

Anyone still interested in this? If you are, I can shoot a short video to demonstrate how I avoid the short silence when switching sounds.

Martijn, I know you posted this a year ago but I hope you are still active on this board. I would be very interested in your method of avoiding the gap between sounds when switching. Would you able to share this please?

Hi Julian,

It’s been a few months since I last visited this forum, so how about timing? :-) I will make a short video to demonstrate it. Please be patient, it could take a few days.

That would be great, thanks!

I have just started another thread about another issue I am experiencing with drawbar organ sounds. If you have any advice about this that would be good too!

Hi Ju!an (and other users),

Here's a link to the video I just made to explain my workaround for this problem:

Please let me know if it works for you.
