Unfortunately No OSX 10.9 Mavericks driver for the JS

:( I had roland confirm, they said they have no plans to update the USB driver. Suggested that I use a midi interface or an older system. I'm sure I'll work it out but it would be nice to know they planned to continue to support it. I understand the economy of it all, they must bring out new models to be purchased and concentrate their efforts on supporting that.

Next week when my Stage arrives, I'll run some tests and report back what works and what doesn't.

Also NO Wireless Adapter Support. So I can't use my USB Wireless like on the Juno-Di to use the Roland Air Recorder App :(

I emailed roland support to voice my disappointment. I realize this is discontinued model, why should they add any new software or features but it's so similar to the Juno-Di and Gi... I just can't understand why they wouldn't throw Stage users a "bone"!

Probably b/c they want us to buy their newest keyboards, not used in the discontinued pile. but the Stage best suited my needs, the J50 didn't and none of the other current offerings fit the bill either. It's all workstations out there!

They roland rep was courteous and said they'd forward my complaint/suggestion on to Japan to the programmers as "feedback". I won't get my hopes up. I guess it's time to stop bitchin' and get to playin'!

So regardless of these two deficiencies, I plugged my Stage into an MAudio UNO sport USB/MIDI interface and was able to work with the librarian, editor and playlist creator just fine using OS X 10.9 Mavericks. So they may not update the USB vendor driver anymore but at least MIDI still works!

Just to add some information... I had the last Juno driver installed on my MacBook Pro (original OS 10.8) and I did not remove it after selling my Juno-Di. I updated my MBP to OS 10.9 and forgot about the Juno driver.
Today I received my just purchased (second hand) Juno Stage and was about to connect it through my MIDISport 2x1, but I tried first a direct USB connection and unexpectedly discovered that the driver survived tho OS update and works perfectly.
So I believe the problem is more in the driver installer than in the driver itself. Just my 2รง ;)
