Ctrl kb from pedal

I need to trigger a hi-hat sound from the pedal. How would I route the pedal to the drum input?
Or is there a better way to do this? The pedal only connects to Ctrl Chgs.

Hi, MrNelsonB,

I'm sorry, but I can't think of any way that you can trigger a sound using a pedal on the Juno Stage. Maybe somebody else can (without soldering a pedal to one of the keyboard-contacts)? You could create a split/multi-zone performance with just the very first or last key to be a high-hat sound, that's the way I trigger sound effects during songs.

Greetings,

Martijn

Thanks. I think I might have to trigger the drum sound from the keyboard. Would you know of any pedal that would output an on,/off signal that would plug into Midi in port?

Midi is not just an on/off signal, it's a serial digital code that has to be generated by electronics and needs to contain all kinds of information (channel, note, velocity and on/off, not to mention cc's). I don't know any single pedal that can do that by itself, but you might want to have a look here: http://midipedals.com/store/products/ to create your own.

Search Google for the FCB1010 by Behringer if you're looking for a set of pedals with which you can do note triggering also, but much much more than that! http://www.google.com/search?q=fcb1010

Thanks for the link, Martijn. I tried using the keyboard for the hi-hat sound and that works so I guess that's the route I'll have to take. I was hoping to trigger the sound with a pedal so I could play chords & improvise while keeping the beat. I appreciate your information.

You're welcome. If it's just about keeping the tempo/beat, why not use a (user) rhythm pattern with just the hi-hat sound? Isn't that a good option in your case?
