Let's see in Europe...

I REALLY want to be mistaken but I think he said 1995 $ instead of 995... but if Paulo is right then I guess I'm gonna get 2 of them :) or at least 1 + advertized it to anyone I know :D

He definitely said $1995. Sorry guys. Way too expensive for such a gimmicky product in my opinion. I would have considered paying 1200 for it seeing as it has the ARX-03 on board. Maybe on ebay in 6 months.

Right, it seems WAAY too much. I'd rather spend up 3-400 euros and get a V-synth GT instead. What else? the ARX brass? Much easier to buy the brass card (SRX-10) and stick it into my X. The Vocal Designer? The previous VP-550 is less than 900 euros. The M3 is actually less expensive (you can get it for 1850 euros at Thomann) and - IMHO - has more features than the VP-770. While there's nothing wrong with the VP-770, you cannot compare it with full-blown workstations. Or purebreed synths. No way.
The VP-770 surely deserves at least 1200 euros. At almost 2000 - it's a no-no.

LE: I STILL think it may be a pricing mistake. I cannot accept that the RD-700GX could cost less than a 4-octave instrument which is not even a synthesizer. And if the Vocal Designer is THAT expensive (I KNOW everything else in the VP ISN'T), how come the Vocal Designer Card designed for the original V-synth (and the VP-550) were affordable? (excuse my ranting but I'm a nervous wreck at the moment...of course because of that alleged price!)

I'm sorry guys !!! it was to good to be true...

Unfortunately... I was wrong :-((
I've been listening to the Ed Diaz sonicstate video and in fact Ed Diaz says 1995, not 995... my mistake, I'm sorry for that.

To be honest I begun to suspect I was wrong as soon as Artemiy said "Wow, that is actually cheaper than the VP-550? Amazing. ", I said to myself...hummm Can't be...I didn't hear that correctly, and in fact I didn't...
It was too good to be true !!!

For that price...I would go for a GT v2.0 without thinking too much...

Νο, the $1995 price tag is simply unacceptable. For some more money (in my home country, if I'm not wrong with my calculations, it's about $200 or so) I can get Fantom-G6, which is a full-blown workstation. I can't think of a reason that the VP-770's price could be justified.

$1995 is just too much... sorry but rather have a arx brass and a nice $800 microphone than that.... I guess I'll just wait till it hit the $1200 range.....
