VP-550

Post by m3m »

Hallo Roland boys and girls,

I am from Slovakia / EU
Sorry, here is no section VP-550..
I bought last week vocal keyboard
VP-550, to sign in church
(Eastern Greek-catholic church),
and to use it in band as second keyboard
for vocals (folk and modern song..).

It is really fantastic, no electronic sound,
but close to choral. It is without display,
and therefore user friendly and easy to use.

I'll buy my main/primary keyboard.
Which is better, Roland, Korg or Yamaha.
(Fantom / M3, Oasys, TR88 / Motif XS8, Tyros 2) ?
I know that I am on Roland web, but.. I aks.. :)

Thanks and have fun with your Roland keyboard.

If sound and ease of use is more important than anything, I would of course recommend you to get a Fantom (X or G), as they are the best here. They have lots of great features and you will enjoy using them.

Hallo Artemiy ,

thank you for your reply and recomm.

I chose VP-550, because they are small and easy to transfer to church every sunday. I ordered it with Roland cover too, and it is good. And it is OK for pop, folk style with my band during singing..

Yes, I am thinking about Fantom G, for me it is no problem with easy to use, because I am PLC programmer :), but in LIVE it is good - don't have complicated menu..
I need advice, because I found for example Roland G8 here in Slovakia for 3 300 Eur, and I found on another www salers for 1 200 Eur, brand new, but there is no name of firm, only phone number and www page. And they don't send me keyboard with pay on delivery, but they will pay it before. And if I send 1 200 Eur to UK, or Taiwan, how can I be sure, that I'll become keyboard? Is it safe? For example: http://electronicinstrumental.com
?
Thanks for your advice.
