Hi -
Is the VP 7 equivalent to the Vocal Designer in the V-Synth GT; whcih I presume is equivalent to the Vocal aspect of the VP550 and VP770?
Any clarity on this will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Kevin.
What exactly is the VP7?
Re: What exactly is the VP7?
VP-7 is basically like the VP-550/770 only in a small form factor. So it has both the vocal sounds you can play as normal instruments, and then the vocal designer and vocoder that applies your voice's articulation onto several vocal/vocoder models.
What I wonder if it's vocoder allows you to use the external input as a carrier - now that would put it's possibilities on another level.

Re: What exactly is the VP7?
Does the VP-7 allow playing multiple voice harmonies (using the vocoder / vocal designer) on an external keyboard (as many fingers pressed)? or is it limited to 2-3 harmonies only (based on a chord detection method)? Does the 128 polyphony limit on a VP-550/-770 apply only to orchestral sounds? I studied the 550/770 manual but I'm still confused. VP-7 looks attractive enough, both in price and size/weight - if it's got the full VP package.
Re: What exactly is the VP7?
It is the VC-2 card in a stand alone box.
