Re: NEW AX SYNTH LOOKS 'SWEET'!!!
what's the price??!!
Price
According to Roland's Ed Diaz at Namm09, street price will be USD $1095,00
Re: NEW AX SYNTH LOOKS 'SWEET'!!!
- price is okay
- It is (looks) to big
- Audio & MIDI is nice but, I don't like to walk on stage with 3 cables
- I wish it had a standard wireless connection to a "AX-module".
- I'd like to have normal aftertouch (and not with a knob)
conclusion: I'll keep my AX-1

Re: NEW AX SYNTH LOOKS 'SWEET'!!!
Hi everyone.. this is my first post on this site..
Im a keytar player (I have the Roland AX-7 with custom wireless midi inside of the unit)..I tried the roland AX Synth on NAMM 09...
-Its a little bit heavy but its fine
-looks and feels more "profesional" like a musical instrument, very well built
(I think that my AX-7 feels like a toy compared to a keyboard)
-I REALLY LOVE THE KEY ACTION OF THE NEW AX SYNTH!
The keys feels like my Fantom G.
-The sounds are fine... I just tested the acordeon sounds.
The distortion guitar sounds very nice.
I apologize for my bad english.

Teknoss, thank you very much for your review! It's nice to hear you liked the AX Synth, all sounds like it's a promising new product.
Re: NEW AX SYNTH LOOKS 'SWEET'!!!
Hopefully no one will ever buy an ol' AX-1 or AX-7 so I can get one 5th hand for cheap.

Eating my words...
Sammy is eating his words...
That AX-Synth is actually the bomb. I liked what I saw on that SonicState video. The only problem that I have with it is that at ten pounds, I might personally have some problems holding it up for long periods. But hey -- who cares? I don't play live anymore anyway...
But seriously -- I do like it. I think that they did some nice things, especially with the control section. I'm thrilled that they put the octave buttons back where they belong -- right on the headstock. And you can program your own sounds, and this is what the USB for -- not for using on stage. Makes much more sense now.
Thanks.

Re: NEW AX SYNTH LOOKS 'SWEET'!!!
Someday, I hope they include a wireless MIDI and audio interface option. M-Audio had the MidAir for a short while, but it is no longer in production. buyin wireless midi and audio interfaces to roam free is more expensive than the AX itself!
