Ok so I must be challenged but I cannot setup my ax synth with my computer to save my life....first midi experience so you dont get less experienced than me....but I am pc savvy and could really use some help....I have windows 7 64 bit.....

A couple of things that might help:
1. Be sure to use the OS-specific driver from Roland, rather than just the USB device support built in to windows.
2. Refer to page 32 (?) of the Ax-Synth owners manual, "Making the settings for the USB driver" - you'll want to use the settings for the supplied driver.
Note that the Roland driver that actually shows up in the Control Panel (at least under 32-bit Windows 7) is the GW-8
