Stereo on the AX

just received my AX today and wondering what is the best solution for connecting to an audio interface

is the stereo worth dragging the two leads around for?

Absolutely!
watch out when you pick patches though.
they did a great job of offering up stereo and mono oriented versions of a lot of patches.
if you use the editor you can really tweak it a lot as well for stereo playout.
