Bender Mode via USB?

Post by ozbusa »

Hi.

I've recently purchased the AX Synth and am still coming to grips with its features.

Should the Bender Mode switch work when using the AX as a midi controller via USB to a VST type instrument in a sequencer program?

I'm using RealStrat in Logic Pro.

Thanks,

Clive.

I realize this is a rather old post by now but the answer to your question is a simple no. The bending mode is mainly a function of the AX Synth's internal sound engine, not of the keyboard/bender control itself. As such the MIDI that's going to come out of the AX will be identical regardless of the bending mode, it's only the internal sound engine that is responding to that MIDI data differently.

Of course it's perfectly possible for external sound engines to also have their own specialized bending modes or tricks.
