AX-Synth effects programing - need help

Hello, new to the instrument and trying to find out how to assign different effects to different tones. The distortion organ patch, if I assign VK rotary to one of the tones, all 4 change and the distortion is now gone completely because the patch assigns "guitar distortion" to all the tones. I just want to change one or two of the tones to VK rotary so I can still have the distortion, but get a leslie effect when I hit the modulation bar. Thanks for any insight. Been driving me nuts!
