saving splits and perfomace settings?

hi i have managed to save 1 performace in number 501 but every time i try to save another split or dual as a perfomace it just overwrites the 1 i save in number 501 how do i save more and how many can i save in the di ? i have read the manual but it does not seem very clear how to do this ,many thanx in advance for your help ,steve.

when you save your second performance, make sure your cursor is up at the top of the name....then when you hit "write" turn the wheel to the right and go to 502 and hit write then enter i believe.
