Volume problems with keyboard amp

Post by wooper »

When I play my Juno Di using a keyboard amp, the notes sound 'fuzzy' when I play them. Also, I can't seem to get much volume without distortion.

I haven't had problems using my keyboard with amps in the past, and the amp hasn't had problems with keyboards in the past. i.e. it is a problem specific to my keyboard and the amp together.

The keyboard amp is Jansen KB 60 (60W), if anyone is familiar with this amp.

i have a 90 watt behringer,,,and my Di runs just fine on it, however my Di is lower in volume compared to my Fantom Xa, so i'm not sure whats up with that.

I've been using a Carvin powered pa cabinet and it is clean. In the System Menu, there is an output volume level that can be adjusted between 0 and 12. I find the di has a lower volume signal also, but I do set the output volume at 8 and that might help. If it's set too high it may distort.

Not sure why its distorting on the low level of your amp though.

i dont know what my Xa is set to (gain wise) but changing my Di to 10 on the gain matches my
Di with my Xa. Life is good now :)
