Controlling Juno Di From a MiDi Guitar Controller

Post by Mad-Mike »

Hello, just got my hands on one of those Fender Mustang Pro RockBand 3 controllers that also acts as a MiDi controller.

Plugging the Mustang into my Yamaha PSS-680 it works just fine, all strings work and all buttons on the neck work, but I"m looking to control my Roland Juno Di with it, problem is, only the high E (bottom-most, closest to the floor) string works and all the others do not. It seems a tad odd to me that a MiDi controller (as el cheapo as it was) from 2010 can't seem to work with a keyboard from 2011, but seems prefectly happy working on one from 1988.

Could this maybe be Performance vs that other Mode issue? Or is there something maybe wrong in the MiDi implimentation on the Juno or the Mad Catz Mustang that is causing it to only address one group of buttons and one string. Has anyone ever gotten this to work or should I stick to using my 680 as the sound module?
