External Midi-piano playing performance

Post by Sander »

Hi there,

Is it possible to play multiple parts simultaneously on an external midi-keyboard? (connected by midi to the Juno)

I have a Korg SP170s connected and hear only one part of the performance.

Start the editor, switch to the MIDI Page on the left. Now choose which parts should react to the midi channel you are sending.

Problem is, if your piano is transmitting on a single channel you will only be able to layer sounds driven by the piano keyboard by assigning them to the same channel (use numbers above 2, so that you can still drive other sounds from the Juno keybed without messing things up).
If your piano can split the keyboard so that two zones transmit on two channels (say 3 and 4) you can assign two patches to those channels and split the Juno sounds
