MIDI DEvice Error

Post by tomcat07 »

When I run the Juno DI editor, I get an error message that says "MIDI devices aren't set up correctly". When I look for the Juno in set up, no other devices appear. I have the keyboard connected to the computer with a Belkin USB 2.0 Printer Cable. Is that the correct cable to use? If not, what will work? Thanks.

The cable should work, if it is not damage. Did you start the editor AFTER plugging in the cable? Try other usb ports from your PC.

Okay, I tried that and I still have the same problem. When I plug the USB cable in the computer gives me a message " Found new hardware." Then a window comes up to telling me to insert the CD to install the software, but I have already installed it, so I hit cancel. Then I get a pop up message that says " Found new hardware. A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly." The computer does not seem to recognize the keyboard when I look at the drives with Windows Explorer.

Hi,

try these steps in this sequence

1. Disconnect the cable
2. Remove the driver
3. Reinstall the driver
4. connect the cable

HTH
