This is a an app and little interface that let you use your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad as a little effects processor. What's fantastic is that you have the base app with standard stompbox, amplifier and cabinet models, but you can purchase additional models to your taste.

Thanks for all the updates here! Do you know if iRig is now available worldwide, i.e. can I order it for shipping to Europe?

Yes it is available worldwide through us and our dealers (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/dealers)!

We've updated the Free and LE versions to 1.0.2 to fix an issue some folks were having with add-on gear not showing up. Please update ASAP if using either of these versions.

Also, we've launched an iRig summer contest so if you'd like to win one of 10 prizes (including StompIO, AmpliTube 3, and more) take a look at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/irigtoday

Thanks!

Dear IK guys, could you please tell me if iRig will also work with other apps that can record sound, like FiRe and so on? Thanks!

Yes it will, but you will get a dry signal - the great-sounding gear simulation happens with the AmpliTube app on your device (which will soon include recording!)

That sounds awesome then! BTW, how would you rate the quality of the input converter in Apple's devices? (I ask this as I assume your interface feeds an analog signal)

Yes, your app looks really great (and one of a kind) and I won't be able to resist buying it along with the interface. If you add recording, this would actually blow my mind. I can imagine running an acid bassline on an iPad and feed it into AmpliTube with overdrive chain on my iPod touch... classic wildness, redefined! :-)

That sounds like a great use of the application! Wild indeed :)

The quality is very good - we are able to run at a very low latency, and the quality of sound is excellent. We are actually making more breakthroughs in sound quality as we speak, so you'll truly be more impressed in the near future too. The recorder is coming and there will be an option for a much more involved recorder than is available with other amp sims so AmpliTube should be the way to go.
