Korg plugKEY performance and alternatives.

Hello,
Any opinions about how well Korg's plugKEY works with the ipad pro and possible alternatives would be highly appeciated. I am completely unaware of the iOS and I am seriously considering moving there from the windows for music creation.
Second question. What do you think of the Sandisk ixpand usb for moving projects, audio mixes e.t.c. in and out of the ipad pro instead of using the cloud. Does it work?
