Ambient soundbank for Roland GAIA SH-01 released.

Post by Luftrum »

Luftrum has announced the release of Luftrum 6, a soundbank for Roland GAIA SH-01 synthesizer. The soundbank contains 64 ambient patches ranging from warm space pads over Berlin School arpeggios and organic sound effects - suitable for ambient, cinematic and filmscore productions. 32 of the 64 patches are spine-tingling ambient pads, lifting the GAIA up to the next level of sound!

Luftrum 6 is drawn out of inspirations from Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Biosphere and Steve Roach and is a follow up to soundbank successors released for Propellerheads Reason and lately the standalone Luftrum:Ambient for Camel Audio’s Alchemy - which cemented Luftrum’s signature as an ambient tone painter.

Luftrum 6 is available as download-only from www.luftrum.com.

Posted this in the news!

Your work really impresses with quality (judging by the demo), and I am wishing you all the best with it.

I've just downloaded this. On the whole very nice, although most of the pads have VERY slow attack times, so you need some patience.
Great arpeggios and some nice Oxygene stuff (I have since found the Eminent sound I originally thought was missing).

After 24 hours, I can say that I LOVE this synth.

It was a toss-up between this and spending more on a Nord Lead. However, none of the sounds for the Nord I heard on the internet impressed me at all, and the only Nord I've been able to demo in store was a Wave, and that sounded a bit weedy also.

I bought this the other day, nicely done sir, some nice pads on there, I particularly like the "movement" in some of them.

Note to self: must spend more time tweaking. ;-)

Hi.

Make sure you put the file called "ROLAND" onto your USB stick. (Inside that file should be another file called "SH01" and inside that should be a file called "SH01_PAT.SVD" - if they're all correct, it should work.)

Turn on your Gaia and insert your USB stick, then press the USB MEMORY PATCH button (it's next to the TONE COPY button) - you should hear your new sounds.

Hope that helps. :)

Hi SynthesizerPatell,
and thank you very much l for your answer and for your quick reply
I did all of those : (((
I tried two different usb sticks , i used USB MEMORY port
i followed the two simply steps , ( hold USB MEMORY PATCH button - after i press WRITE - at the end i press one more time WRITE ) but for some kind of reason i can't hear the new Luftrum patches.

I sent an e-mail to Luftrum but am i still waiting for an answer .
I don't know what else to do : ((

Hi Ambientum and thank you for you support.

Have you switched on the 'User Patch' button right next to the Arpeggio button? You have to make sure that the 'User Patch' button is lit. What I think you hear is the factory patches which are played when the 'Preset Patch' button is lit. The factory patches cannot be overwritten.

Please check if the 'User Patch' button is lit and get back to me if it still doesn't work.
