Last week I released a new version, 0.4. What’s new:
  • SVD file format support in library.
  • Startup time improvement for large libraries.
Get it here: http://www.grauw.nl/projects/gaia-tool/

In case you’re interested, I now maintain a public feature and bug list here. Feel free to look through it if you’re curious which things I would like to do in the future, or to comment or add things. Of course suggesting features here in this thread is ok too :).

Hi,

I have just discovered this tool, quite frankly it has saved me. After the initial programming and tinkering of the Gaia because I am studio based it didn't really sit with the rest of my gear, but using this tool sits right in m workflow.

Excellent job! - hope your still developing this.

Unfortunately I couldn't make this tool work on my Mac. I do have the SH01 driver installed from Roland UK website. And I did copy the mmj.jar and libmmj.jnilib files into my Java folder in the computer. I do connect the Gaia to my Mac through USD cable. Then, when I turn on the Gaia tool and click on Connect, it says "Gaia midi ports can not be found, please make sure your Gaia is turned on". Well, my Gaia is turned on already :-(
Can someone help out please? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Regarding my problem (please see my post above in this topic), I also checked that the MIDI signals sent by my GAIA are received by my computer because Logic can receive the MIDI signals... I am so sad I can't use this tool.

@bluehonour
i am also on macbook pro 2012 ML, it works great. what you need to check:
you have installed the gaia specific midi drivers on your mac and updated your gaia system program:
http://www.roland.com/support/article/? ... ds&p=SH-01
you have installed the latest java 7 package (not the default one that comes with osx):
http://www.java.com/en/download/mac_dow ... ?locale=en
you can make sure you have installed the mmj package, but with the latest java libraries installed, this should not be required

i had problems running gaia tool using presonus mobile but no problems using the usb cable
now it should work for you too
