Hi
I have a Sonic Cell with all the midi files for my backing tras and I'm considering a gaia to accompany this to pay some synth lines over the backing tracks.
In addition to this, I have read something about a GM bank of sounds which appear to work indeendently from the gaia keyboard as a sort of midi driven sound module. Is ths true?
How does it work. Do you just assign a midi channel to a patch in the GM bank? Can you assing more than one, in effect having the sequencer playing the midi files from th Sonic Cell paying two or more sounds for different part of a track?
GM Bank
Re: GM Bank
Yup, anything you play on the non-synth MIDI channel will be played as GM, basically a totally independent standard GM module.
Re: GM Bank
thanks
so you can just play one patch from the GM bank abd not have multiple midi signaks pkaying simultaneous GM patches from a sequencer on different midi channels?

Re: GM Bank
No it’s not limited like that, there is 1 GAIA synth channel and 15 GM MIDI channels.
